How technology has saved the hiring process

The 'New Normal'

Since March, firms have had to reconsider their hiring process, and with many of our clients now conducting interviews via Microsoft Teams and Zoom, we feel it is important to remain transparent as ever to our current and future candidates about how the process has changed and how this can affect your journey.

Here at Charles and Charles, the majority of our candidates have had interviews through Microsoft Teams and Zoom. We have found that the process has been made easier, despite the pandemic having affected other areas of the industry. Some of the benefits of this is that you do not have to make travel arrangements or set aside a larger chunk of your day. As well as this, interviews have been quicker and easier to arrange.

Beyond Interviews

Technology has also impacted on the way that firms work, with a huge shift in communications between workers due to the rise in remote working. It has been reported that projects have become easier to manage simultaneously with the ability to remain control virtually. As well as this, directors have discovered that Microsoft Teams and Zoom prevail in being able to keep data and documents in one area, with the elimination of needs for various different drives and Dropbox's, keeping work more organised and efficient.

Conclusively, we hope to eliminate any worries around changes in the hiring process or your ability to remotely settle in to a new job (if needed), by sharing first-hand how here at Charles and Charles, we have experienced adaptations from our clients to our candidates.

If you are feeling unstable in your current position or have insecurities around your future, feel free to get in touch with one of the team.

All the best,

Sheldon, Alex and Maryanne
