Sheldon Clottey

Sheldon is the Managing Director of Charles + Charles and established the group in 2016. During the last 9 years, Sheldon has overseen the growth of the company to where it is now in 2025.

Throughout his career, Sheldon has recruited for construction companies in over 15 countries, spanning 3 continents. He continues to guide construction professionals to reaching the top levels within the industry.

Maryanne Taylor

Maryanne has been with the company since the start of 2020. Her core market is North Carolina, specifically Raleigh & Charlotte, where she has been successfully building strong relations with both candidates and clients, of which include some of the top five general contractors in the Carolinas.

Maryanne continuously works with Estimators, Project Engineers & Project Managers of all calibres to propel them in their career.

Ella Parikh

Ella joined Charles + Charles in 2021 and was one of the first members of our team to focus on our operations within Florida in 2022.

She has established herself with some of the most affluent luxury home contractors as well as leading general contractors throughout Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Holly Bennett

Holly joined Charles + Charles in 2022 and has risen through the business to be our Marketing & Operations Manager, working alongside Sheldon for much of her time at the business and helping with our continued growth.

Alongside expanding our clientele and developing market maps throughout the states, she is responsible for building a Resourcing Team, allowing us to find the best Estimating, Preconstruction & Project Management talent across North America.

Toby Cook

Toby joined in the summer of 2022 and quickly established himself as a senior member of the team before moving to an Associate Director role in London. His journey started working for J.P. Morgan, before recruiting in the Renewable Energy Sector.

He manager a book of clients in Georgia, where he brings hard work & charisma which has contributed to his success in filling some of the “Hard to Fill” positions 

Freddie Mannering

Freddie has been with Charles + Charles since early 2023. After spending time developing her recruitment skills, she now supports our Director on a day-to-day basis.

Alongside her role as Sheldon’s assistant, Freddie brings a creative edge - helping us better understand personal branding, AI, and how to navigate the LinkedIn algorithm.

Harry Smart

Harry joined the Charles + Charles team to work alongside Toby in searching for top construction professionals and helping to find the best move for their career.

After finding success quickly in his first year, Harry is now looking after our candidates and clients in Austin, Texas.

Ben Baumann

Ben joined Charles + Charles in summer 2024 to learn the ropes of the commercial construction world underneath Toby.

Coming from experience in the subcontracting world of the US Construction Market, Ben will be helping top construction professionals in Massachusetts, assisting them in taking their next career step.

Raphael Thompson

Raphael is the latest member of the Charles + Charles team who is assisting us in locating Estimator and Preconstruction professionals on the East Coast.

In a previous life, Raphael operated within the luxury watch space. He is now transferring his skills to share job opportunities within construction.

Oisin Scanlon

Oisin is focusing on Superintendent roles here at Charles + Charles.

After a enjoying a career in finance, Oisin has now transitioned into recruiting for some of our most valued clients in construction. He has a competitive spirit and thrives in the fast paced environment that comes with finding top tier management throughout Philadelphia and further afield in Pennsylvania.

Calum Bourne

Calum focuses on helping our clients in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area locate top talent for Real Estate Developers and Owners Reps. He is also working in partnership with Ella to assist in delivering for our long-serving client base.

Outside of Charles + Charles, Calum spends his spare time keeping active and brushing up on his language skills. He is an experienced skier and can speak both French & Spanish.
