Our client, a mid sized Contracting Company are searching for a Superintendent to join their team. Based in Queens, NY, they specialise in excavation, pile drilling, dewatering, and foundations. With more than 15 years’ experience in the industry, they have a strong understanding on both management and field personnel.

The Projects:

Project portfolio includes commercial and residential projects, across Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Westchester County.

The Role:

Candidates are required to have 8-10+ years’ experience in NYC, working as an Excavation and Piling (SOE) Superintendent. The suitable candidate will be experienced in dealing with NYC building codes and building departments. They will have experience in SEO (systems, equipment similar to their outfit) and foundation's is necessary, along with the ability to bring in qualified foremen and skilled crew members. A strong passion towards safety, and the willing to introduce policies and procedures is also necessary.

Responsibilities:

The suitable candidate will be able to oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion. They will be proficient in allocating, and managing resources per project, along with supervising onsite personnel, subcontractors, and equipment. They will be able to interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients. Ensuring that compliance with safety, health, and quality standards is highly important.
