Charles & Charles have an exciting opportunity for an Estimator to join a major multi-family developer based in Midtown Manhattan. Our client have been established for 80 years and are experts in the New York market, having contributed to billions worth of work across Manhattan's skyline.

Responsibilities:

· Review project plans, specifications, and other project documents to determine the scope of work, materials required, and estimated costs

· Collaborate with the project team to develop and maintain the project schedule and budget

· Prepare accurate cost estimates for civils and demolition projects, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs

· Conduct site visits to gather information needed for estimating, and identify any potential risks or challenges that may impact the project

· Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that they meet project specifications and are cost-effective

· Work closely with the project manager to develop proposals and negotiate contracts with clients

· Provide ongoing support to the project team throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that costs are effectively managed and controlled

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technology to continually improve estimating practices and ensure competitiveness in the market

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

· Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

· Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information and respond to questions from clients, project managers, and subcontractors

· Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and quality in estimating and project management

Salary/Package
